Briercrest College is a distinctively residential college. Maintaining an educational environment that extends beyond the classroom is one of our distinctives and strengths. Dorm life offers the opportunity to grow and be stretched, to sharpen interpersonal skills, and to put the biblical truths learned in the classroom into practice in everyday living conditions. For these reasons, all single Briercrest College students are required to live in dorm, and application for alternate housing is required and limited to students aged 23 and above, and/or fourth year students with 90+ accumulated credit hours.

NOTE: Approval to live out of dorm does not guarantee you a spot in Briercrest Housing. You may contact housing@briercrest.ca to discuss availability and request to be put on a waiting list, but priority will be given to married students and student families. You are responsible for making private housing arrangements if there are no vacancies in Briercrest housing.

If granted community housing status I realize that I am responsible to make my own housing arrangements.

I understand, and agree that I am still subject to all general expectations for Briercrest College
students as laid out in the Student Responsibilities & Expectations, as well as any specific standards for
community students that may be communicated through the year.

I understand and realize that if I am unable to responsibly live within the Student Responsibilities and
Expectations Guidelines of Briercrest College, trust is violated, or my good standing is lost, I may be
required to return to live in residence. In such a case, I realize that I would be responsible for any
financial obligations incurred with my exiting rental/lease agreement.
